Rev. Wendi L. Werner holds a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School. Following her passion for Christian education, Wendi began serving the Church professionally in 1995 as the Director of Youth & Family Ministries for Central Presbyterian Church in Summit, New Jersey. While at Central Church, Wendi entered the M.Div. program at Drew. Wendi completed an intensive unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Overlook Hospital as a chaplain during that time. In 2002, she left Central to serve Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church as their Director of Children's Ministries. After completing her M.Div. and ordination requirements, she was ordained by the Presbytery of Elizabeth as a Minister of Word and Sacrament to an Interim Associate Pastor position at BRPC. In 2006, Wendi received a call to Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church as their Associate Pastor for Christian Education.
It was with great joy that Wendi received and accepted the call to become Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church at Dayton in September of 2009. After a long journey, she feels like she has found a place to call home.
Wendi is an active member of the Presbytery of New Brunswick, currently serving as a member of Presbytery Council.
Wendi is married to Noel D. Werner, who is the Director of Music at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, NJ. Together, they are the proud parents of daughters Sophie and Emily.
